Beatriz Bellosillo Paricio

Biografía y Trayectoria

Beatriz Bellosillo is Head of the Molecular Biology Laboratory in the Pathology Department at Hospital del Mar in Barcelona, and an associate professor at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. She is a molecular biologist with experience in translational research in the fields of hematology and oncology.
She studied Pharmacy between 1988 and 1993 and carried out her doctoral studies between 1993 and 1999 at the University of Barcelona.

Since joining Hospital del Mar (Barcelona) in 2001, she has developed the area of molecular diagnostics in the Department of Pathology, with a special focus on hematologic and oncologic fields, which have been ISO9001 certified since 2015 and ISO15189 accredited since 2017. In addition,

Dr. Bellosillo participates as an advisor in the quality programs of the European Molecular Quality Network and the Spanish Society of Pathological Anatomy.
From a research standpoint, Dr. Bellosillo is a group leader in the cancer research program at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) and chair of the Research Commission, which ensures the implementation of scientific policies within the institution.

In line with her usual clinical work, her scientific interest in recent years has focused on the evaluation of molecular alterations and other biomarkers involved in hematologic neoplasms and solid tumors, with particular emphasis on the implementation of liquid biopsy for the study of solid tumors. Dr. Bellosillo has participated as principal investigator in numerous projects related to these topics. As a result of her work in this field, she has published more than 250 articles in international journals (H-index 56) and is co-inventor of three molecular marker patents that are currently commercially exploited.

Ongoing research projects are analyzing the mutational profile of Ph-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms in blood cells and circulating DNA, as well as the mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapy in solid tumors.

El Dr. Toledo ha publicado más de 50 artículos en revistas peer-reviewed, incluyendo *JAMA Oncology* y *Clinical Cancer Research*. Es revisor habitual de diversas revistas científicas internacionales y participa activamente en congresos internacionales.
