Noelia Tarazona Llavero
PhD, Hospital Universitario XBiografía y Trayectoria
Noelia Tarazona, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist and translational researcher specialised in precision oncology and liquid biopsy applied to colorectal cancer (CRC). Her work focuses on integrating molecular profiling, ctDNA analysis, and clinical trials to personalize therapy and monitor minimal residual disease in solid tumors.
She works as consultant medical oncologist at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia and principal investigator at the INCLIVA Biomedical Research Institute, where she leads a translational research group within the Digestive Tumors Program of CIBERONC (CB16/12/00473). She is currently a research fellow at the Mass General Brigham Cancer Center in Boston, under the mentorship of Prof. Aparna Parikh.
Her team develops innovative approaches for early relapse detection and therapeutic stratification through ctDNA, radiogenomics, and spatial transcriptomics, integrating in vitro and in vivo models to validate translational findings. She is co-inventor of TAV16, a tumor-agnostic ctDNA assay currently under patent application for MRD detection across tumor types.
Dr. Tarazona has authored over 70 peer-reviewed papers and contributes to ESMO clinical guidelines. Her leadership has been recognized with awards such as the Young Talent in Oncology Award (Fundación ECO, 2023) and the Ramiro Carregal Award for Emerging Cancer Research (2025).
