Biografía y Trayectoria

Susana Torres Martínez, PhD in Biotechnology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2024), has developed a strong background in oncology research, with a particular emphasis on tumor microenvironment and cancer biomarker analysis.

She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Molecular Oncology Laboratory at Valencia General University Hospital Foundation (FIHGUV) (Valencia). She is also a member of the Respiratory Tract Tumor Program at CIBERONC (CB16/12/00350), contributing to nationwide collaborative efforts in translational cancer research.

Dr. Torres Martínez has experience in liquid biopsy technologies, including Digital PCR and Luminex, applied to the detection and analysis of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and proteins. These tools have been employed in plasma samples, particularly in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), breast cancer, melanoma and ovarian cancer.

She has actively participated as a team member in national and international research projects. Furthermore, she has presented over 80 communications at national and international conferences , including presentations at ESMO and ISLB. Finally, she is the author of 11 peer-reviewed publications, which have received 270 citations to date with an H-index of 7.

• Evaluación del valor pronóstico de las Células Tumorales Circulantes (CTCs).
• Desarrollo de paneles de secuenciación de nueva generación (NGS) adaptados a la biopsia líquida.
• Estudio de microvesículas y exosomas en la metástasis tumoral.

El Dr. Toledo ha publicado más de 50 artículos en revistas peer-reviewed, incluyendo *JAMA Oncology* y *Clinical Cancer Research*. Es revisor habitual de diversas revistas científicas internacionales y participa activamente en congresos internacionales.
